Amanda Seyfried channels Ann Lee in live performance of original song

LOS ANGELES -- Before Ann Lee's story unfolds on screen, the film's original song "Clothed by the Sun" offers a glimpse into the world of "The Testament of Ann Lee."

From award-winning writer-director Mona Fastvold ("The World to Come," "The Brutalist") comes a sweeping portrait of the extraordinary woman who founded the Shaker movement.

Academy Award nominee, Amanda Seyfried, takes on the role of Ann Lee, the visionary spiritual leader who championed gender and social equality long before those ideas entered the American mainstream.

Seyfried also performs a new original song for the film, "Clothed by the Sun," written by Academy Award winner Daniel Blumberg.

The film depicts Lee's quest to build a utopia, featuring more than a dozen traditional Shaker hymns reimagined with choreography by Celia Rowlson-Hall ("Vox Lux") alongside Blumberg's original compositions.
