Barnes & Noble holds grand opening for new Clovis location

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- A new Barnes & Noble location officially opened in Clovis on Thursday.

It's a new chapter for the former Joann Fabrics space at the shopping center at Herndon and Clovis Avenue.

Hundreds of excited readers lined up outside to check out the new titles inside.

Employees hope the new bookstore will help to inspire a new generation of readers, while bringing the community of Clovis together.

Local author Monica Murphy was on hand signing copies of her novel "A Thousand Perfect Lies."

The Cat in the Hat also joined the festivities, welcoming readers to the new store.
