Bicyclist hit and killed by vehicle in Atwater, police say

ATWATER, Calif. (KFSN) -- A man has died after police say he was hit by a vehicle in Atwater on Thursday.

It happened at 4:30 am on Winton Way and Fruitland Avenue, near Atwater High School.

Officers say the man was on a bike when he was hit.

The man was declared dead at the scene.

Officers have not said what led to the crash.

The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene.
