CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Clovis East High School students are trying to help the family of a classmate who died in a car crash.
Bill Moua, 14, was killed last Friday morning in a collision near the campus, at Leonard and Shields. The CHP said his brother was driving and pulled into the path of another vehicle.
On Sunday, classmates held a car wash fundraiser at Shaw and Clovis Avenues with support from Clovis East High School faculty and administrators. They plan to give the money to Moua's family at his funeral on Sunday.
Student organizers say school hasn't been the same since losing their friend. The students estimate they raised at least $1,000 today, plus $500 in donations from the past week.
