Computech Middle School hosts 'We Are Young, Not Silent' student forum

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Students at a Southwest Fresno school held an event today to make their voices heard.

A forum called "We Are Young, Not Silent" was held at Computech Middle School.

The goal was to create a space for students to express their opinions and views on political topics in a respectful and safe environment.

School administration worked with students to organize the event.

Fresno Unified Superintendent Misty Her said in a statement that this is exactly the kind of structured, student-centered platform the district encourages.

She hopes to see similar efforts across other Fresno Unified campuses.
