Fresno mom who gave birth while in coma returning home

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno woman who gave birth to her first baby earlier this year while in a coma is coming home after spending several months in the hospital.

Melissa Carleton went into a coma back in March. She was being treated for a brain tumor when she had a seizure and never woke up, but she was still able to give birth to a healthy baby boy via C-section.

Her family announced on Tuesday that she will be coming home soon, but they need help to transition Melissa from the hospital to their home. They've set up a GoFundMe page and are trying to raise $250,000. So far, they've raised $117,000.
