Fresno State kicks off new season against USC in Southern California

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno State Bulldogs are in Los Angeles as they prepare to take on the USC Trojans Friday night.
The matchup marks the Dogs' first game as part of the new PAC-12.
The 'Dogs have a tough task ahead going into Friday's game as 21-point underdogs.
Buchanan grad Jayden Mandal will be under center in just his second start in four years with the Bulldogs.
Head coach Matt Entz also noted that timing, accuracy and taking care of the ball helped Mandal win the starting job.
USC had over 500 yards of total offense against San Jose State in its opener.
The Dogs' defense will be looking for Trojans quarterback Jayden Maiava, as his name has been brought up in early Heisman conversations.
Kickoff is set for 6 pm at the Coliseum.
