MERCED COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- After more than 50 years, Lake Yosemite Park is under new management in Merced County.
On Sunday, the county handed over all operations to the Merced Irrigation District.
MID already owns most of the parkland but the county had been handling day-to-day upkeep until this point.
Some of the noticeable changes include new porta-potties at the old lake day-use area.
There's also been an increase in entrance fees.
Starting Tuesday, the cost of a day-use pass will increase by $4, from $6 to $10.
The price for an annual pass will remain $50.
