League of Mexican American Women announces Frida Fun Run

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- You can celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with a special fun run!

League of Mexican American Women just unveiled its new medal for the Frida Fun Run.

The run is Saturday, October 4, at Fresno City College.

All participants will receive the special medal and have a chance to meet cultural icon, La Catrina de Visalia.

Whether you are running or walking, this is a family-friendly event that includes kid races and is also part of the runner of the year series.

All proceeds will help the League fund student scholarships.
