FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The man accused of killing a Fresno father in 2023 has been found guilty.
A jury on Friday found Kelon White guilty of voluntary manslaughter.
He was also accused of assault with a gun and threatening a witness, but was found not guilty on those counts.
In July of 2023, he shot and killed 46-year-old Silvano Villa-Fierro at an apartment on Clinton and Weber avenues in central Fresno.
Investigators say the two men got into an argument before the deadly gunfire.
White turned himself in four days later.
His criminal history dates back to 2010, and police say he is a known gang member.
Sentencing is scheduled for October 20.
He faces 15 years in prison, plus additional time for a gun enhancement.
