Man with goat breaks into west central Fresno restaurant

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are on the lookout for a man who broke into a west central Fresno restaurant with a black and white goat.

Surveillance video shows the man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with a white billed baseball cap and a goat following behind him on a leash.

The pair is then seen calmly walking past the closed Curry Pizza Company off Clinton and Blythe.

The man then breaks through a window to get inside.

The owner says the thief took two liters of soda, worth about $6, and then walked out and off into the night with the goat.

The cost to repair the broken glass is about $1,500 to cover the deductible.

"But I mean, somebody might have seen him. I mean, he's walking around with the goat," Curry Pizza Company owner Virender Malhi said. "If you see him, please call the cops. That's all you can do. And hopefully they'll pick him up for just breaking into businesses."

Malhi says this is the fourth time this location has been broken into since it first opened about a year and a half ago.

He also has restaurants in Tulare, Visalia and Los Angeles that have been broken into several times.

But he says this is the first time a goat has been involved in the crime.
