Man hospitalized following shooting in Visalia, police say

VISALIA, Calif. -- The Visalia Police Department is investigating a shooting that hospitalized one man on Friday night.

Officers responded to West Laurel Avenue just after 10:00 p.m. for reports of a shooting and found one man suffering from a gunshot wound.

Police say a 22-year-old man was detained at the scene.

The Department's Violent Crimes Unit is investigating.
