Mariposa County Sheriff's Office, CHP searching for suspect along Highway 49

MARIPOSA COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office, along with the California Highway Patrol, is actively searching for a suspect along Highway 49.

Deputies say the search is along Highway 49 between Coulterville and Mary Harrison Mine Road.

The public is being asked to avoid the area as there is a large law enforcement presence.
