The Los Angels Angels started spring training without Shohei Ohtani for the first time since 2017 and with a new manager in Ron Washington.
Felix Pena, who threw seven innings in the Angels' combined no-hitter last month, is done for the season with a torn ACL. Los Angeles also placed Andrelton Simmons and Griffin Canning on the IL.
