The man charged with killing a Ukrainian refugee on the Charlotte light rail last summer has been found incompetent to stand trial in the murder case.
They're teaming up with an international disaster relief group to help get items collected and delivered to Ukraine.
American Airlines pilot Jeff Schrager of Fresno has spent the last two weeks in Poland just outside of the border, offering transportation and resources for families who had to leave everything behind.
New mother, Olga Korol, is stuck in Germany over issues with her infant's travel documents. She's told having an official page for him in her passport is not enough to get them to California and ultimately to family in San Jose.
"On Wednesday, it was normal life for us," Halyna Marchenko said. "On Thursday, everything changed."
"I am distraught watching Ukraine under attack," he wrote on Twitter. "We must come together as a force for good!"
