The CDC says that schools opting to test exposed students rather than require a home quarantine aren't necessarily risking an outbreak.
The school says the student "had been attending school for the last seven days" when they found out about their positive case. About 75 students then had to quarantine.
The decision follows a legal settlement with students claiming the testing favored higher-income, privileged students who could afford tutors and strategic test prep.
