Oakland A's right-hander Sonny Gray was placed on the disabled list a day after leaving his start early with forearm soreness.
Mark Teixeira, who missed three games this week because of inflammation in his surgically repaired right wrist, had to come out of the New York Yankees' Saturday game after experiencing more soreness in the same wrist.
