15-year-old Chowchilla native Asterisk Talley received low amateur honors at the 79th U.S. Women's Open at Lancaster Country Club Sunday afternoon.
Thursday afternoon, Asterisk Talley fired an opening round 70 in the 2024 U.S. Women's Open at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania. The 15 year old Chowchilla native is the youngest player in the field and currently sits in a tie for 5th place.
A 13-year-old golf prodigy, Jaden Soong, will be one of 90 amateur players competing for a spot in this year's U.S. Open in Los Angeles.
