For the first time, the City of Killeen, Texas, released dash cam video from the night the man accused of killing Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen took his life.
The family of the army specialist from Houston, who was murdered earlier this year, is providing input in the gate's construction.
This means Vanessa Guillen's family is now entitled to a variety of Army benefits, including insurance along with final pay and allowances.
Today would have been Vanessa's 21st birthday.
Legislators on Capitol Hill Wednesday held signs that said "Military sexual trauma ends with us" as they presented the legislation.
The secretary of the U.S. Army doesn't know if there will ever be justice for Vanessa Guillen, but he says "it's clear" that the Army let her family down.
