Crews battle fire at oil refinery in Bakersfield

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KFSN) -- Crews have contained a fire in a cooling tower at an oil refinery in Bakersfield.

It happened at the Kern Oil Refinery Thursday night and it is still unclear what was burning inside the facility's cooling tower or what started the fire.

Police, fire, and environmental officials were all on the scene to assess the damage.

Fire crews say no injuries have been reported.
