FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A new mural showcasing Fresno's history is now complete.

The stamp mural on the north wall of the Business Journal offices at Van Ness Avenue and Tuolumne Street in Downtown Fresno is 125 feet across and 32 feet high.

"Fresno" is displayed across much of the wall with each letter representing local icons past and present, including Sun-Maid, the high-speed rail project and a portrait of William Saroyan. The year 1885 is in the lower corner, which is the year the city was incorporated.

Local artist Francisco Vargas painted the mural. It took him about six months to complete.
