Man in critical condition after being shot in West Central Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- One man is in critical condition after he was shot in West Central Fresno.

It happened around 7:00 p.m. near Shields and Fruit. Police said two men got into an argument before one of them opened fire hitting the victim twice.

Officers nearby heard the gunshots and a witness flagged them down.

Police arrested the suspect a short time later and are currently trying to determine a motive for the shooting.
