Fresno State basketball players honored, baseball drops 2nd game in a row

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno State women's basketball player Bego Faz Davalos was named Mountain West Player of the Year. She also earned all-conference and defensive team honors. Toni Smith was a conference honorable mention and Breanne Knishka was selected to the all-freshman team.

It's back to back for Bulldog men's basketball star Marvelle Harris. The Dogs all-time scoring leader was named Mountain West Player of the Week for the second consecutive week. Harris will lead the Bulldogs into the Mountain West Tournament on Thursday in Las Vegas.

After starting 11-0, the Fresno State baseball team has dropped 2 games in a row. Fresno State falls at Long Beach State, 4-3. The Bulldogs now travel to College Station, Texas for a 3-game weekend set against 3rd ranked Texas A&M.
