Man on scooter injured in Fresno hit and run crash

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Police are looking for the driver who hit a man on a scooter overnight in Central Fresno, leaving him with major head injuries.

The rider was hit at Van Ness and Nevada around 1 a.m. on Wednesday. Investigators believe a car that was trying to make a u-turn when it hit the scooter and kept going.

Officers believe the car was a Lincoln. The rider is in the hospital, but there is no word on his condition.
