Authorities investigate homicide in Fresno County
Fresno County Sheriff's and the Huron Police Department are investigating a homicide that happened on South Lassen in Huron.

FRESNO COUNTY (KFSN) -- UPDATE The Fresno County Coroner's Office had identified the victim as David Lemus, 19, of Hanford.

Fresno County Sheriff's and the Huron Police Department are investigating a homicide that happened on South Lassen in Huron.

According to police, they received a call around midnight on Sunday about a physical disturbance. While driving to the call they received a second call about a man lying in a parking lot of a store across the street from the original call.

Police arrived and found the man with a gunshot wound.

The man was transported to a hospital in Coalinga where he was later pronounced dead.

Police requested that the Fresno County Sheriff's Homicide Unit take over the investigation.

The victim has not yet been identified.
