Fresno County mail carrier kept 8,500+ pieces of mail he was supposed to deliver, DOJ says

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A former Fresno County mail carrier is in custody after prosecutors say he failed to deliver mail and kept it to himself.

The Department of Justice says 53-year-old Ronald Juckno worked for the U.S. Postal Service and was arrested on September 11.

Prosecutors say Juckno was found to have over 8,500 pieces of mail he never delivered and instead kept for himself in 2024.

Some of the mail included bills and documents from the California EDD.

Juckno was initially placed on leave and later resigned.

If convicted, Juckno faces a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
