Double shooting under investigation in Los Banos

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Authorities are investigating a double shooting in Los Banos.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m. Friday, Los Banos police responded to the area of Santa Rita and B streets for a shooting. When they arrived, they found an 18-year-old man suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

The victim was flown to a Modesto-area hospital for surgery. His condition has not been released.

A second victim, only described as a 29-year-old, arrived at Memorial Hospital Los Banos with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Officers spotted suspects leaving the area following the double shooting and took them into custody. They have not been identified.

"Our detectives are working hard to piece together the details of this shooting," said Los Banos Police Chief Gary Brizzee. "We're confident we have all of those involved in custody and we do not believe there is any continued danger to the public."
