MORRO BAY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A Fresno man rescued after getting stuck on top of Morro Rock is now under arrest.

Investigators said 27-year-old Michael Banks climbed to the top to propose to his girlfriend but then got stuck on the way down. The Morro Bay fire department had to wrap banks in a harness to remove him from the steep part of the rock.

Banks was found to be under the influence and in possession of methamphetamine.

He is now at the San Luis Obispo County Jail.
