Kidnapped children of Gorman murder victim located in New Mexico

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Three Fresno children have been found safe Wednesday after a multi-state search for them and two kidnapping suspects.

Those two adults are persons of interest with a possible connection to the murder of the children's mother, Kimberly Harvill. Brittany Humphrey and Joshua Robertson are still on the run and a warrant is out for their arrest.

The search is still on for the kidnapping suspects who could be in states east of New Mexico. Authorities said they dropped the three kids off with a Good Samaritan early Wednesday morning at a Motel 6.

For family and friends, it's the one good thing that's happened in what's described as a nightmare. Photos of tattoos and a drawing of the victim's face were released last Thursday, as the LA County Sheriff's Department tried to identify a murder victim.

"As soon as I saw the face, I just kind of started crying," Harvill's friend, Hannah Anderson said. "But I didn't know what I was crying about."

When Anderson saw the tattoos, she knew it was her best friend Kimberly.

"I was with her when she got two of those tattoos," she said.

Finding out about Kim's murder has flipped her life upside down.

"We had just talked on August 10," Anderson said. "We had a really good conversation and then all of a sudden I'm reading this and I just felt like I was in a nightmare."

That nightmare got even worse when Kim's three kids went missing. Authorities across the country were searching for 5-year-old Rylee, 3-year-old Brayden, and 2-year-old Jocelyn but Wednesday afternoon they were found safe on the outskirts of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

It was something family and friends were excited to hear but the two kidnapping suspects are still on the run and it's something Hannah won't think too much about until the kids are back here in California.

"I'm more concerned about the kids right now," Anderson said. "I mean, it is in the back of my mind, what happened to Kim, what happened in the last moments, but that's pushed in the back of my mind and my focus is I want these kids home."

When they return, they'll need all the love they can get. They lost their father to suicide last year and now their mother to murder.

"She loved her kids more than life," Anderson said. "I mean, she was a great mom, she was a great wife, she was just altogether a wonderful, wonderful person that everybody is definitely going to miss, a lot."
