Man identified who was shot by police in Central Fresno
We now know the name of the man involved in a police shooting over the weekend. His name is 25-year-old Ryan Frank of Fresno.

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- We now know the name of the man involved in a police shooting over the weekend. His name is 25-year-old Ryan Frank of Fresno.

Witnesses recorded the aftermath in Central Fresno on Sunday after an officer shot Frank two times.

Police said he was walking along Belmont in Central Fresno when he started to yell at some dogs at a nearby home. Investigators said Frank threatened the homeowner with a knife and later did the same to police.

Fresno Police Chief Jerry Dyer said based on the video he's seen, the officer used restraint and fired his weapon when it was his only option.

Frank has undergone two surgeries and is facing multiple charges including assault with a deadly weapon.
