FRESNO, Calif. -- Visalia Police said they responded to a report of a home invasion on Parkwood Court near Akers Street and Hurley Avenue just after midnight on Tuesday morning. They said people at the scene reported two masked men broke into the home an attempted to steal money. A resident of the home, 18-year-old Guillermo Vasquez, told police he was pistol-whipped by the suspects during the robbery.

However, during the investigation, police said they found evidence that Vasquez was operating a clandestine concentrated cannabis lab out of his home. They found concentrated cannabis, cocaine, and paraphernalia used to extract concentrated cannabis, all of which they seized.

Vasquez was treated for minor injuries before being arrested and booked into the Tulare County Main Jail on narcotics charges.

Police said the home invasion investigation is still ongoing. They are asking anyone with information to call the Visalia Police Department at 734-8116.
