THE CALIFORNIA 9/11 MEMORIAL CEREMONY

INFORMATION: Continuing our longstanding tradition, the California 9/11 Memorial will once again host the Annual September 11 Memorial Ceremony in 2025. Citizens, first responders, and military personnel will gather at the site to perform a ceremony steeped in tradition, paying tribute to the brave spirits who perished.
7TH ANNUAL 9/11 CEREMONY OF REMEMBRANCE

INFORMATION: A special F-15 flyover by the 144th Fighter Wing along with a flyover by the Fresno County Sheriff's Office Helicopter, will pay tribute to Todd Beamer and all those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Please join us as we come together to honor the lives, courage, and sacrifice of that horrific day. We must never forget.
CLOVIS WATER TOWER LIGHTING CEREMONY

INFORMATION: In honor of America 250 and remembrance of 9/11, the City of Clovis is set to light the Old Town Clovis Water Tower in red, white, and blue this September 11th. The event will include a performance of the national anthem followed by remarks from City of Clovis and Veterans Memorial District leaders, additional government dignitaries, and special guest Michael Montelongo, Former Assistant Secretary of the Air Force, who was inside the Pentagon during the events of September 11, 2001. The event will conclude with a community countdown, led by Clovis Mayor Vong Mouanoutoua, to light the tower in our nation’s colors for the first time.

INFORMATION: We will honor our first responders and all Americans we lost on that tragic day, and also celebrate the Spirit of 9/12 when all Americans came together to help each other.
The student competitions are now open, with the entries being due on Thursday, April 30, 2026. There will be categories for: Art and Poetry student competitions. Grand Prize winners will be selected from 7th-12th grade Art and Poetry entries, they will each receive a new laptop! Also, two teachers of Grand Prize students will be awarded a $500.00 Amazon gift card. Check out the guidelines for more information.
