Fresno State's Helping Hams donation drive now underway

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Fresno State is kicking off its annual holiday campaign benefiting local families in need.

Helping Hams is now in its second year. Donations are being taken at the school's Rue and Gwen Gibson Market, or you can write a check payable to the Fresno State Farm Market and mail it to 2385 E. Barstow Ave., AG85, Fresno, CA 93740.

This fundraiser began seven years ago as a turkey giveaway, but last year, due to a turkey shortage, they replaced the gobbler turkey drive with this one.

Their goal is to raise enough for 175 hams, which is about $5,200. The drive ends on December 11.
