Running back Nick Chubbrushed for over 100 yards in the second half of Georgia's game against Southern on Saturday, giving him 12 consecutive games with over 100 yards rushing to tie Herschel Walker's school mark.

Chubb finished with 131 yards in No. 7 Georgia's 48-6 victory in Athens, Georgia.

Georgia was limited to 35 rushing yards in the first half Saturday, its fewest in a half since a loss to Vanderbilt in 2013. Chubb then gained 35 yards on his first three second-half carries. He eclipsed the 100-yard mark with a 49-yard touchdown run, his second rushing touchdown of the game. He also had a 24-yard touchdown reception.

Chubb's 12th consecutive 100-yard effort ties him for the longest active streak in FBS with Toledo's Kareem Hunt. Toledo plays Arkansas State later Saturday.

For Chubb it's the second time in his career he's surpassed 100 yards in the second half of a game. He rushed for 188 yards in the second half against Louisville in last season's Belk Bowl.

Entering Saturday's games, Chubb had rushed for a FBS-high 1,791 yards since taking over as Georgia's starting running back in Week 7 last season.
