Sydney Berger
Sydney Berger is the Sports Anchor and Reporter for ABC30 Action News. She joined the Action News Sports team in September 2025 and is excited to return to her home state.

Before moving to Fresno, Sydney was a sports anchor in Spokane. During her time in eastern Washington, Sydney covered Washington State, Gonzaga, Eastern Washington and University of Idaho college athletics including trips to bowl games and the NCAA tournament.

Sydney graduated from the Edward R. Murrow College of Communication at Washington State University where she worked with the WSU Athletic Department as a communication intern. During the summer of her senior year, Sydney worked as a sports intern at our sister station, KABC-TV, where she helped cover the MLB All-Star game at Dodger Stadium and LA Rams training camp in 2022.

When she's isn't working, Sydney likes to spend her free time trying new restaurants and coffee shops, going on runs and walks and traveling to new spots around California!
