He says that alone could've kept him out of the Obama Administration, but the President thought he was the right man for the job anyway.
Jon huntsman, China Ambassador Nominee said, "When the President of the United States asks you to step up and serve in a capacity like this; that, to me, is the end of the conversation."
Huntsman has some unique qualifications for the job:
He speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese after serving as a Mormon Missionary in Taiwan, and he was the ambassador to Singapore under the First President Bush. He's also the father of seven children, including one adopted from china.
