Man is killed following suspected DUI crash in Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. -- The Fresno Police department is investigating after a man driving a motorbike was hit and killed by woman suspected of driving under the influence on Friday night in Northeast Fresno.

Police responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian call near Gettysburg and Millbrook just after 10 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a car with major front-end damage and a motorbike trapped underneath.

A man was also found under the car and Fresno Fire crews started life saving measures, but he died at the scene.

The woman driving the car cooperated with officers and was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

A witness told police that the driver veered into the bike lane while heading north on Millbrook moments for the crash.

This is an on-going investigation.
