According to reports, /*Joshua Oldham*/, 18, of Coarsegold was a passenger inside the vehicle.
Witnesses saw him raise the weapon as his car passed by a bus stop shortly after four Tuesday afternoon.
Deputies caught up with the vehicle at Spring Valley Elementary School in O'Neals and took Oldham into custody.
The school was placed on temporary lockdown during the incident.
