FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An infant was pulled out of a car that went into the canal in the Merced County town of Santa Nella.

The car flipped and was submerged. In the picture above, you can see the tires of the car sticking up out of the water.

A total of four people were in the car -- 2 adult males, an adult female, and an 11-month-old girl. The men were able to pull the baby out of the vehicle before first responders arrived on scene. First responders say the baby was crying, and both her and her mother were airlifted to a Fresno area hospital.
