FBI Charlotte: 6-year old Maddox Ritch's body found

GASTONIA, N.C. (KFSN) -- The FBI of Charlotte, North Carolina has the body of six-year old Maddox Ritch has been found.

FBI officials tweeted they recovered the body at approximately 1 p.m. ET off of Marietta Street and Old Dallas Highway in Gastonia.

Maddox's parents have been notified of the discovery.

Officials said the investigation is ongoing.
