Peach Party takes over Old Town Clovis
With stone fruit harvest in full swing, the Central Valley is getting ready to celebrate with a peach party.

CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- With stone fruit harvest in full swing, the Central Valley is getting ready to celebrate with a peach party.

Summer in the Valley may be hot and rain free, but that makes some of our favorite tree fruits perfect for picking. California grows more than 200 varieties of peaches and chefs from the Institute of Technology Culinary Academy will be demonstrating various recipes incorporating the fruit.

Previous years' recipes have included peach salsa, spicy peach glaze for chicken, peach crumb bars and even peach tamales. The chefs will have recipe cards for visitors to take home and recreate these delicious peach delights.

The farmers market vendors and Old Town Clovis merchants will also be participating in the Peach Party with their own limited-edition peach recipes for sampling.
