Person hit and killed while trying to cross HWY 41 in downtown Fresno, CHP says

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A person was hit and killed while trying to cross Highway 41 near downtown Fresno.

The California Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 5 p.m. Wednesday on northbound Highway 41 near the Divisadero Street exit.

Images from a Caltrans camera near the incident at 41 and Tulare showing traffic backed up for miles.

Delays are expected as officers continue to investigate.
