Large home goes up on flames in Northeast Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- An investigation is underway after a large home went up in flames in Northeast Fresno.

Neighbors called in about 9 a.m. on Monday to report the fire in a up-scale neighborhood on Ponderosa Drive near Fort Washington Road. Witnesses say they saw flames shooting from the roof and that the fire appeared to have started in the attic.

No one was home at the time of the blaze. It's not yet known what caused the fire.
