26-year-old man shot and killed in Porterville, police say

PORTERVILLE, Calif. (KFSN) -- An investigation is underway after a 26-year-old man was shot and killed in Porterville Sunday evening.

The Porterville Police Department says it happened at about 5:30 pm on South A Street near Locust Avenue.

Police say when they arrived to the scene, they found Rudolph Duran Pina with a gunshot wound.

Pina was taken to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.

A suspect has not been identified.
