Man shot and killed during private event in Los Banos, officials say

LOS BANOS, Calif. -- A man is dead after being shot at the Los Banos Fairgrounds on Saturday night.
The Merced County Sheriff's Office responded to a shooting shortly after 11:00 p.m.
Officials say there was a private event happening at the fairgrounds.
When deputies arrived, they found the victim and say he had died from his injuries.
No suspect information has been released at this time.
The homicide is an on-going investigation.
