1 dead after off-road vehicle crashes into Kings County canal, CHP says

KINGS COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- One person is dead after an off-road vehicle crashed into a canal.

The California Highway Patrol responded to the collision on Jackson and 5 1/2 avenues, just after 10 p.m. Friday.

Officers confirmed a passenger in the off-road vehicle died.

Their identity has not been released.
