TULARE COUNTY, Calif. (KFSN) -- A two-vehicle crash injured two drivers after a pickup truck hauling a trailer hit a school bus at a three-way stop near Porterville Thursday evening, the California Highway Patrol says.

A Dodge Ram was westbound on Highway 190 when it collided with a Porterville Area school bus, which was traveling south on Westwood.

The crash happened as the school bus was making a left turn at the intersection.

Authorities said the truck t-boned the bus.

The driver of the truck was pinned inside the vehicle. Crews used the Jaws of Life to get him out.

No students were on board the bus at the time of the crash.

Both drivers suffered moderate injuries, according to officials.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation. Officers say DUI is not a factor.
