20-year-old shot in southeast Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- The Fresno Police Department is investigating a shooting that injured one person on Saturday.

Officers responded to the area of Hazelwood and Butler for reports of 20 to 30 shots fired shortly before midnight.

Officers found two cars struck with bullet holes and several shell casings.

Authorities learned that a victim in his 20s was dropped off at Community Regional Medical Center with gunshots to his lower body.

He is in stable condition.

Police are investigating what led to the shooting and are searching for a suspect.
