HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) -- Three people were arrested in Southern California for the shooting death of a 17-year-old in Hanford.
The shooting happened just after 10 a.m. Friday at the Casa del Sol Apartments on Hanford Armona Road and 12th Avenue.
When police arrived, they found the teen with a gunshot wound to the chest. He was declared dead at the scene.
Detectives quickly identified two suspects in the shooting, 25-year-old Pasha Evins and 19-year-old Famous Hinton.
The car associated with both suspects was found just down the road at a home on Ogden and Arthur streets. SWAT officers surrounded the home but did not find the suspects.
Evins and Hinton, along with 25-year-old Elise Hernandez, were later spotted in San Bernardino County by the California Highway Patrol.
All three were captured after trying to flee from CHP officers and a gun was recovered.
They've now been arrested and booked into the Kings County jail. Evins and Hinton were booked under murder charges and Hernandez was booked for accessory after the fact.
