2 people dead after reported shooting in east central Fresno, police say

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two people have been pronounced dead following an "isolated' shooting in east-central Fresno.

Fresno Police say officers were called to a home on East Fountain Way, near Fowler and Shields avenues, just after 4:15 p.m. Thursday.

When officers arrived, they entered the home and found two people inside and immediately provided medical aid. The two people were then pronounced dead.

Fresno Police is not providing any additional information as the investigation is ongoing.

A heavy police presence of at least 10 police units, two ambulances and a chaplain has been seen in the area.
